Elder Souls
Elder Souls · Codex, Spirit Realm
Elder Souls are more powerful versions of Souls that you earn when you complete an Event. Once collected, Elder Souls can be placed into the realm's Elder Gate in order to power a path to the Spirit Realm Boss. Once three Elder Souls have been placed in an Elder Gate, the Elder Gate will be activated.
Like Souls, Elder Souls have one of three affinities: Might (red), Spirit (blue), and Vitality (green). These affinities determine the type of rewards you'll earn from defeating a Spirit Realm Boss. Unlike Souls, the immense power contained in the Elder Soul is measured in magnitude ranging from 1 to 5. Elder Souls of higher magnitude will increase the difficulty of the final encounter, but will also increase the rewards.
You can only carry a single Elder Soul at a time, regardless of affinity or magnitude.
